BIRD , JOHN ( 1768 - 1829 ), landscape painter .

Born at Cardiff , 1768 . He prepared some drawings for Principal Seats of the Nobility ( 1787 ) and other topographical works. Examples of his work are ‘ Llewenni Hall ’ (copper-plate engraving) and ‘ Llewenni Bleach Works ’, now in the National Museum of Wales , Cardiff . He d. at Whitby .
