DAFYDD ap PHYLIP ap RHYSSyr ’ (fl. c. 1500-1540), a poet (probably in holy orders) who was from the parish of Llangyfelach, near Swansea, according to Iolo Morganwg (N.L.W. MS. 13062, 467). Only one of his poems remains, a cywydd in praise of Sir Rhys ap Thomas (q.v.).
