HARRISON , RICHARD ( 1743 - 1830 ), Wesleyan Methodist local preacher ;

b. 1 Oct. 1743. After his conversion in 1766 , he became a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society which met at the Octagon , Chester , then of the Bryngwyn society , and, finally, of the society which was formed at his house at Northop, Flints. , sometime before 1774 . By trade a weaver , he gave generously of his time to promoting Welsh Wesleyan Methodism in Denbighshire and Flintshire . He was one of the first to expound Wesley 's Arminianism in North Wales , and his counsel and assistance were invaluable to Evan Roberts , Denbigh , Edward Jones , Bathafarn , ( 1778 - 1837 ) (q.v.) , Owen Davies ( 1752 - 1830 ) (q.v.) , and John Hughes ( 1776 - 1843 ) (q.v.) .
