JAMES, JOSHUA (1665-1728), one of the earliest ministers of the Baptists at Llanwenarth, Mon. ,
received into membership in 1689, but styled ‘minister,’ as assistant to William Prichard (d. 1713) (q.v.) in 1699, and in sole charge after Prichard's death. He was a man of influence in Baptist circles in London and Bristol; he d. in Aug. 1728, aged 63, and was buried at Llanwenarth.
