Born at Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire, son of a successful farmer. He became a member at Henllan or Rhydyceisiaid, Carmarthenshire. In 1720 he was a minister at Denbigh. He married the daughter of his predecessor Thomas Baddy. He died in 1737 and was buried at Whitchurch, Denbigh. David Jardine was his son.
