LEWIS MENAI ( fl. in the second half of the 16th cent. ), poet .

He graduated as a disgybl pencerddaidd at the Caerwys eisteddfod of 1568 . His patrons included the families of Bodeon , Bodfel , Clenennau , Llwydiarth , Myfyrian , Mysoglen , Penrhyn , Plas Newydd , and Ystumcegid . Love poems and englynion are also among his compositions. There is a collection of his poems in Llanst. MS. 122 (236-92) .
