RHISIART OWEN (ap RHISIART) , of Y Lasynys , Merioneth (fl. c. 1622), poet. Some of his work remains in manuscripts. This includes an elegy to Sir William Maurice of Clenennau, in Brogyntyn MS. 3 (175), cywyddau in praise of Humphrey Jones of Craflwyn, in Brogyntyn MS. 3 (204) and Llanst. MS. 125 (716), various englynion in N.L.W. MSS. 566 (93b) and 643 (78), and a poem in free metre which is found in N.L.W. MS. 566 (125). (It is not clear whether he is the poet referred to on page 22 of J. H. Davies, Bibliog. of Welsh Ballads.)
