THOMAS , DAVID ( Dewi Hefin ; 1828 - 1909 ), poet ;

b. at Cnap-sych , Llanwenog, Cards. , 4 June 1828 . Educated at Cribyn school, he himself later kept schools at Cribyn , Bwlch-y-fadfa , Mydroilyn , Llanarth , Cwrt-newydd , and Llanwnnen in Cardiganshire . He retired in 1883 . He contributed frequently to various magazines such as Seren Gomer and Yr Ymofynydd . Four volumes of his poems were published: Y Blodau , 1854 ; Blodau Hefin , 1859 ; Blodau'r Awen , 1866 ; Blodau Hefin , 1883 . He d. 9 March 1909 .
