EVANS , EDWARD (b. 1582 ) theologian ;

a son of a cleric , born and educated at Llanrwst, Denbs. , he entered Christ Church , Oxford , in 1598 at the age of sixteen. He graduated B.A. , 16 February 1603-4 and M.A. , 1606-7 . Anthony Wood mistakes him for another cleric of the same name, also the son of a cleric but from Hampshire and a famous preacher in the University who published a book of sermons in 1615 , Verba Dierum or the Dayes report of God's glory …
